
Academic Team Finishes Top Ten at National Championship
麻豆国产檚 Academic Team made its mark at the National Community College Championship tournament in Orlando, Florida over the weekend. The College檚 淎 team finished eighth overall, capping another impressive season for the perennial national power.
麻豆国产檚 Morgan Williamson was named an All-Star at the tournament. In addition, the 淏 team finished 21st overall. This marks the eighth straight time 麻豆国产 has reached the national tournament. Last year, the 淎 team was ranked first nationally heading into the championship. They took home the title in 2016.
淎fter graduating the majority of our scoring from our 淎 team last year, this year檚 team had to work extremely hard to be a national contender, said Coach Peter Rodski who is also a professor of mathematics at the College. 淭his group has been the largest and deepest team we檝e ever had at 麻豆国产. They enjoy working together and are truly dedicated. It檚 been a blast watching them grow as a team.
麻豆国产 amassed a 30-9 record this season with notable wins over the University of Kentucky, Transylvania University and Eastern Kentucky University. This marks the eighth year in a row that 麻豆国产 has finished in the top eight. With several players returning next season, Rodski expects the team to compete for another national title.
